Today, we will leave east China, fly to another ancient China capital, Xi’an, the very centre city of China.

When leaving Beijing, stayed at Shanghai for 2 days, right now we arrive Suzhou, a beautiful and typical Chinese city.

Shanghai is a much more modernized city out of most of our surprises. We enjoy shopping and acrobatics.

Today, we have city tour.

We went to the temple of heven. Other than the magnificent ancient pagoda, the living脗 attitude of local senoirs impresses us much. They were singing, dancing and exercising there happily, showing off their happiness and content of their lives.

We went to Tian’an’men Square, Forbidden City. This time, hahaha… Canadians realized what the most populous country means, cause 6 people got lost in different places at different moment. It was so crowded there, but I still have to emphasize again: Please stick with the group all the time, even though, you maybe attract by many fresh, unfamilial things.

And we took a pedicab exploiting the traditional Beijing small alley – “HUTONG”. We got more ideas about what the Beijing humble life used to be. I am so happy to hear one脗 say脗 she loves the supper tonight,脗 which just likes another meal made by her brother. Tonight, we have a supper at the local nomal resident house in HUTONG, so close to the everyday life of local residents.

Even though we went to many places, at night, we went to see the Beijing opera. Frankly speaking, I fell a sleep during the show. I do be tired in locating my group today! Out of my surprise, most of the group is so energetic and enjoy the show from the beginning till the end!

Ok man, keep going, tomorrow will be another day, we are going to visit the Great Wall.

P.S. Today we had a beautiful day, we got blue sky and white clouds, which is quite quite rare in Beijing! So wonderful, now I pray for another beautiful day tomorrow!

We finally arrive Beijing, the capital of P.R.China. 13-hour flight is not a short journey, we traveled half the globe, from Montreal to Newark, from Newark to Beijing.

My group, we have returned home 4 a week, how’s going? I missed u all. N I m so happy to get a call from Rita today. I was busy with a delegation last few days, so now, I m uploading my pix @ Guilin, my hometown.

Guilin is such a beautiful cutie, you all like it, right?! The colorful cave, the city night lights, the Li River, the Hills, really like those Chinese paintings. A person from the group tell me, she thought those Chinese paintings were made out of by immagination, since she come to Guilin. She realize there exists such a place in the painting!

man, hopefully u all return home. 4 me, I m just home this morning.

Yesterday, it was such a mess @ Newark. 5 of us could not make the connecting flight, so we had to wait till 9 pm. Fortunately, only 4 seats available, so I m the only one left staying @ Newark overnight. N this morning I took the first flight coming here Montreal, finally arrived @ Montreal 9:30.

More, I need some more evaluation forms, some of you do not give me yet. Please send or hand them in the office. Thank you!

22 days in China, tomorrow finally I will fly back 2 Canada.

Do happy staying with my group. It is such a good group, they are all so nice. Here I thank them for their understanding, support and cooperation. Hope to see them again some day later. Maybe next time in another tour or a party in X’mas! Wish all of脗 them have a happy life in the future days and keep脗 their wonderful脗 Chinese tour always with them.

The last night on the boat, we have a farewell party. We were singing and dancing, everyone was so happy.

My group made a song and sang in the party. The follows is the lyrid:

Frankly speaking, I did take them to some typical chinese stores for shopping. But, my group likes shopping and bargaining, especially some shopping queens. They could shop @ anytime anywhere, and enjoy bargaining so so so much!!!!!!!!

Finally left the boat, got on land. Tonight after check in the hotel, I went to bowl. Cause, 1. I am a little bit tired for travel so many cities, need some relax. 2. I was beated @ Wuhan by Harold, I need practice to challenge him. 3. Hotel have bowling lines. It is quite convenience. N this time, I did a good job, I got a coupon for a free game, but which could not be used @ the same day. So, I HAD to leave it @ the front desk for my following colleges. So, wonder guys, if you like bowling, go to the front desk of our hotel in Chongqing 4 the coupon, it will valid until Nov. 4, 2006.

Ok, let me talk about the cruise. Yangzi River is the longest river in China, n Chinese call it Mother River. We cruise on it for 4 days. On the boat, we made 3 morning stops and onland tours. The first morning, it was the visit of the very famouse dam on Three Gorges of Yangzi River. I m not a person interested in engineering, but still feel amazing by the huge project and admire the ambitions of the country. 脗 Hahahaha… One more thing to add of our stay at the Dam is the funny hats our group man bought. Look @ the pix, they are so funny!

The second morning, we visit Shen Nong Steam. We first changed from our cruise to a smaller boat, then to another smaller boat, which only could hold 13 persons. Everybody was so enjoy the float and the folk songs of local guides. But, the pity was that because of the high level of the stream, there are no famouse nude trackers.

The third day, we visited the Wanxian Town, a small relocated city. We went to the local market, a museum & a relocating family. The family used to be farmers b4 immigrant to present house. Now, they, three generations,脗 are living in an apartment with three bed rooms. Or group all are concerning on whether they are typical local family or special selected family. The local guide told me, they chose the families mainly first they always have somebody @ home, second the apartment is clean, third they are willing to share their new lives with the out-comers.

This is the last day on the boat, our group have such a good time on the boat. The boat is so comfortable, our group enjoy a relax time on boat. They were shopping, facialing,脗 drinking & singing. The crew are so nice and friendly, especially our guide on boat, Natalie & Becky. I missed them all. BTW, they are the guides脗 on boat of our other French groups as well.

Today we took off again, from Shanghai 2 Wuhan.

4 Shanghai, personally no comments, just personally do not like it. But, to my group, they were shocked by such a modernized city in China, especially when they saw the changes in just a little more than a decade of Pudong area. The words I heard most were “unbelievable”, “amazing”, “incredible”. Cause my personal reason, I do not have much pictures to share with you, just those pictures on our boat tour. But, because I took them on boat, they r some kind of no clear, so just put them in small. Hope latter, my group could share their pictures here. (I do push them to come and share with me)

Except for the cruise脗 @ night, the shopping @ downtown, the hotel of Shanghai is another highlight. It is so great and the beds are so comfortable! If you do ask me to find something to complain about the hotel, it should be its location, a little bit far from downtown, so that my friends refused to visit me. But, who cares them when I have such a good hotel for relaxing. We have excellent restaurant, bar, gym and swiming pool, what I could ask for more?!

One thing I have to say about Shanghai is their service people. We visited Oriental Pearl Tower yesterday. I never saw a single employee there wearing smile while they were in their position. How come? They supposed to do a service, but not a single smile, not those elevator girls, not those musee staffs, not those securities, just no no no smile! Sometimes, u just can feel their rudeness and look down upon u. NO GOOD!!! But, another interesting thing is that while we got off the tower, we saw a group of kids have their lunches at the lobby. They are so lovely, everybody was just happy to see them there.

Again, Wuhan is another city I have no feelings, cause it has no charactor. Anyway, we just stop here for overnight. Tomorrow, we will leave 4 the Yangzi River Cruise! We all ready.

BTW, I m so happy to get ur massages here, my fellows! I miss u all. In the following days, I m not sure if I could log on the net or not, cause I will be on the boat.

From today on, we would travel as the local bus tour, from Hangzhou to Suzhou, then to Shanghai, all in bus, from city to city.

Morning, we headed to Suzhou, passed by a very beautiful脗 tiny China-East water village, Wuzhen. 脗 Wuzhen is so-callesd as the oriental Veniece. We walked around in those ancient wandering streets, stepped into those old-fashioned stores, while listened those stories happened or maybe happened here (anyway, who cares if they are true or not.) We stayed at Wuzhen for almost 2 hours, then, eft 4 Suzhou.

Suzhou is always so beautiful, it is always one of my favorate cities. We took a boat tour脗 @ Suzhou River, so amazing. Just like a brand-new experience to me. You never could expect what u r going to c and find.

One thing still make me feel upset, the two sickers do not feel good yet. Hope they are recover soon. So, in the following tours, please do have an idea, u r going to a very different country and going to have some different foods, do good preparation. Because in my group, most of them are senior, we have to check-in the hotel for an hour rest after the lunch before continuing our afternoon tour today. Early flights are always a little bit difficult not only 4 senoirs, 4 me 2!
